UAT intend to deliver a range of educational activities for public benefit that will be led by artists. These will include:

  • public workshops, talks, demonstrations, exhibitions, classes, community workshops, life drawing, demonstrations, lectures & talks, artistic mentoring, etc and will be offering concessionary rates for those on low incomes.
  • outreach programmes such as an ‘artists in schools’, and activities with community groups such as youth groups, healthcare, the homeless.
  • a programme of regular open studios and open evenings, enabling artists and designer-makers to engage directly with the public.
  • formal and informal vocational training opportunities for emerging artists and designer-makers, including a mentoring programme with Art and Design specialists, specialist short courses, and regular critical discussions about their work.
